• The Alpha Gap: While nearly 65% of active large-cap funds underperformed the S&P 500 in 2025, the stocks most loved by retail—like Palantir (PLTR), Tesla (TSLA), and NVIDIA (NVDA)—didn't just beat the market; they obliterated it. Retail-heavy portfolios gained an average of 38%, nearly tripling the returns of the average hedge fund.

• The Leverage Indicator: Margin debt hit an all-time high of $1.12 trillion in late 2025. Wall Street called it reckless. Retail called it conviction.
